![]() On plugins the sound sound is cool and ready to go, but there is always some muddyness on the top end. ![]() The more time i spend listening to A-B comparision between plugins and real amps, the more i realised that the dynamics of the last aren't able to compete with the first. "This might be overkill for my needs, as i am primarly focused on sound quality." I knew it would (maybe) end solve the question i had in my head : "is the money spent really worth it for the sound quality and fidelity only ?" " Maybe it's more suited for live and professional use". I always dreamed of a fractal audio unit. So i sticked with THU since it was much more robust and versatile. But i realised the quality was similar to THU (if not inferior for some amp. I was very surprised with NDSP stuff at first and i really hoped it would end my journey. Actually, i knew that every softwares were capable of giving decent result with some tweaking, customs irs, and EQuing. I wasn't looking for something with the best irs or "tone". ![]() At very first : pod farm, then guitar rig, then TH2, TH3, THU and so on.Īt the same time, i've tried everything : revalver, amplitube, NDSP, ML sound lab, Bias, tse. ![]() Since my teenagehood, i've been using some real small amps (marshall combo. I'll post as soon as I get the cable and let you know. Here to bring my own journey trough the quest of tone a little They're sending me a new lightning cable. I'm not sure about the power cable, I'll give that a try when I get a chance. It wouldn't work if I just restarted the software on the iPad but on the iPhone that would get it working again. It would work after reconnecting the lightning cable on both devices. I did not test on a MacBook or on a Windows laptop. The fix would be to sometimes reset the power cable, sometimes reset the lightning cable, sometimes including restarting the software on the iPad. The behavior would happen both when using Amplitube and Bias FX. And, then, button presses on the I/O Stomp would stop being received by the iPad software. Redroc.k wrote:Hi Tim, I was having a problem with my I/O Stomp and iPad where it would occasionally stop making sounds - the two meters on the I/O Stomp would drop to zero. For some reason when the stomp IO is selected as the input for input 1 and input 2, even though it only has one input when I open AmpliTube it automatically goes to the Looper which even though you can't see it in amplitube I'm guessing it's set at input 1 and then when I switch over to the recording mode I have to select input 2 or else I won't have any sound. I forgot to mention, as for the no sound problem, I had that happen a few times until I figured it out. It sucks because that's how I wanted to use it but oh well. If I use the input on the stomp IO and the output on my AudioBox, it causes a lot of noise every couple minutes. I assume you tried changing buffer sizes? How about going to file new project or project settings and selecting a different sample rate? I think I figured out my problem with noise and that was I have to use the output on the stomp IO if I am going to use the input on the stomp IO. I would prefer to use Amplitube, but it just seems impossible with the lack of stability. It's also using ASIO4All, yet has never dropped out once. Yet, every time Amplitube is dead, I try TH3 Overloud and right off the bat, it works with no problems at all. Somehow it eventually comes back.until it doesn't. I reboot, restart, uninstall, reinstall, disable, enable etc. The majority of the time, ASIO4All will be selected, with iRig as input and output but there's no sound, or a giant buzz or high pitched squeal.
